Jonathan Field - Maker of Random Stuff

March 26th

I’ve been writing a lot since I arrived in South Africa a couple weeks ago. I’m going to start posting today, and I’ll try to post a little something every day. However I am going to do it a little different this time: I’m going to keep the posts “friends only”, so that I don’t have to worry so much about privacy in an increasingly connected society over here. If you want to read the posts, just sign up with LiveJournal (if you haven’t already) and “friend” me.

I hope that my thoughts, however slightly filtered, are at least comprehensible. And maybe even enjoyable.

Feedback is most welcome!

Hello! I’ve already put up three — but I guess you were somehow not on my friends’ list! This terrible crime has been corrected. I wonder if there’s anyone else that is waiting for a friend-back… there’s no unchecked names on my list, but then you weren’t showing there either. Hmm.

As to the posts, it’s basically my unfiltered diary, so they’re a bit long and rambling. But hopefully there’s little bits of interest, too.

Drinks with you and Hernan when I get back!

Hey there! I didn’t realize that I had to “friend” you in order to see your postings…so, this was definitely my mistake. The funny thing is that on my recently-died-due-to-motherboard-issues computer, I had your Livejournal marked as a favorite for ages. Now I see why I haven’t seen any of your updates!

Looking forward to your non-filtered posts about life away from Las Vegas. Just in the last few postings, I found myself trying to visualize your surroundings…with birds and different languages all around. So awesome! Please keep it up!

Can’t wait to hear more about your experiences when you come back..either drinks with Hernan and I or perhaps, coffee or lunch for catching up.

        Keep writing! :)
